The five beauty secrets that every woman should use

With so many products to choose from, that purport to make you look your best, feel amazing, or knock-off ten years, it can be hard to know what beauty products to use. There are actually quite a few beauty secrets, that every woman can use to feel amazing. We decided to round-up the top five beauty secrets, every woman should be using on a daily basis, to look and feel their best.

The five beauty secrets that every woman should use

Everlasting Perfume

We all like to smell good. Nobody wants to smell like they have been sweating for 8-hours, even if they have. A quick spritz of perfume in the morning, and maybe one at lunch, might seem like it will do the trick. By the end of the day though, you may notice that the scent has faded, and it is almost undetectable. There is a way to avoid this though. All it takes is a dab of Vaseline in the key areas you tend to spritz yourself, such as behind the ears, knees, and wrists. Vaseline works to capture the scent of your perfume, and make it last all day.

Natural Hair Masks

For those of us that find our hair a bit on the dry side, a hair mask is a definite must. You don’t want to have to put a hair mask on each night though. This quick trick will keep your ends fresh, and prevent split ends. Avocado oil is an excellent hair moisturizer, so before you go to bed at night, consider rubbing a dime-sized amount into the ends of your hair. Coconut oil also works, but avocado oil tends to be even more moisturizing. After a summer spent in the sun, your hair will thank you for this.

Sunscreen

Most moisturizers contain some SPF, usually about 15 to 25. If your moisturizer does not contain any, then you will want to add a gentle face sunscreen to your daily routine. No matter if it is winter, or the height of summer, you skin needs to be protected. Sun damage is one of the major causes of wrinkles, and fine lines. You can avoid premature ageing by wearing sunscreen, and keeping your skin well-moisturized at all times. This means moisturizing in the morning, and the evening with a night cream.

Clean Skin Equals Clear Skin

After a long night out, or a day in the office, many of us are tempted to simply go to sleep without removing our makeup. This is a big no-no, as your skin will have been producing oil throughout the day, which has been trapped by your makeup. This build-up of oil, underneath your makeup, can clean to clogged pores, blackheads, and pimples. Nobody wants to deal with red spots, which means you need to always cleanse your face before going to sleep. Use makeup remover to remove any foundation, and mascara, followed by a gentle cleanser to remove any excess makeup. This will keep your skin looking fresh, and free of breakouts.

Hydration

Last, but not least, you will want to make sure that you drink a lot of water. Things like alcohol, and coffee, while delicious, may be factors that contribute to dull skin, and breakouts. This is due to the caffeine and high sugar content found within them. If you find that you are thirsty throughout the day, consider skipping your coffee, in favor of some lemon or cucumber infused water. Your body, and your skin will thank you.
