Great ideas for a perfect day

Everyone has their own idea for a perfect day, but with work as well as the daily pressures of life, it can be hard to have a really good day. But if you use these easy tips, you can be guaranteed a happy, successful day!

Treat Yourself

Whether you’re an early bird or a late sleeper, it’s a great idea to start off the day with a little extra time in bed. Once the bed gets a bit boring slip out and make a great cup of coffee, and maybe something sweet like pancakes or waffles. This probably shouldn’t be done every day but every now and again is fine. Then take the morning slow, maybe do some reading or work on a skill you want to develop.

Go Outside

After spending some time inside, it’s time to explore. Try going for a walk or hike, maybe a jog to a local park, the more green you see the better. There’s no need to go and do something hectic, just something relaxing. Enjoy the outdoors, it’s a great way to relieve stress and keep grounded, and it costs nothing to enjoy. Busy weekdays can often be very draining and the lack of sunlight and natural ventilation can make being productive very difficult. Going out into nature is a quick and easy way to keep you on track.

Friends and Family

Another important way to make days feel so much better is to spend time with people you like. Humans are social by nature and so if we go long stretches of time without talking to other people, it actually can damage our mental health. Now, this is not to say you should organize massive parties every weekend or spend lots of money eating out but something as simple as a phone call or small meet up can really make you feel better, and not to mention it will make family and friends feel like they are important in your life.

Earn more

This is a strange one, because most people say that lots of money does not equate to happiness, and this is true, but only to an extent. Research shows that people who earn between $75,000 and $105,000 are the happiest people worldwide, and it starts to make sense if you think about it. People who have a financial safety net don’t need to worry as much about emergency situations as people who don’t. It’s also a lot easier to save up for things you want when you have a certain amount of money. However, it is very important to note that money is only as valuable to you as you allow it to be. People don’t need to earn this much to be happy; it just tends to make certain parts of life easier.

Be grateful

Most people are taught from a young age that being grateful for what they have is more important than being jealous or disheartened by what they don’t have, and this is very true. However, most people tend to forget this as they grow older and oftentimes find themselves comparing what they have to what others have, and in today’s world, it’s easy to let that happen. Remember you have so much that others don’t, like food and clean water, so it only makes sense to be thankful.
